Top Page > English > Outline of Ogaki City Information Studio Outline of Ogaki City Information Studio 　 The City of Ogaki, in cooperation with the Japan Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications(the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications), has established the Ogaki City Information Studio and designated it as a Local Government Network Development Service. The service is a premier example of Ogaki's desire to cultivate itself as a dynamic international city with a state-of-the-art information network. The Ogaki City Information Studio will play two major roles: first, it is a center of sending and receiving educational, cultural, and governmental information via it's advanced technology such as fiber optic network. Second, it is an education center that aims to help people play an active part in today's information-oriented society. The Ogaki City Information Studio has been nicknamed the "Multimedia Kitchen" because it provides facilities and materials for the citizens of Ogaki to use in creating valuable new types of information.
